Volunteers are needed to help maintain the Greenville Off Leash Dog Area (GOLDA). Volunteers help out by informing visitors of park rules and regulations, reminding visitors to clean up after their dogs and by performing a bit of light maintenance around the park. The time commitment for this position is 1 to 2-hours a week at your own convenience.
What a great way to give something back to your community!
A bout this program
The City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the Greenville off Leash Dog Area Advisory Board are looking for individuals to volunteer to be our point person(s), acting as the communication link between the park users and the Advisory Board as well as the City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department. The primary responsibilities of the Bark Rangers would be:
-
To help identify maintenance issues within the park
-
To help enforce rules and regulations of the park
-
Act as spokesperson for park users, bringing to our attention issues to be resolved or suggestions for site improvements
The goal of this Program is to determine peak usage hours of the park and to improve communication and expectations between users of our dog parks and our maintenance and operations division.
